ATR and COGC Join Coalition Opposing Export-Import Bank Reauthorization

Americans for Tax Reform and the Cost of Government Center are part of a 30 group-strong coalition urging members of Congress to oppose the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank. The  Export-Import Bank gives politically-backed corporations billions in taxpayer-subsidized loans, distorting global markets and making us less competitive at home. The letter reads:

Not only does the Export-Import Bank interfere with the free market, it also jeopardizes billions of taxpayer dollars.

American deserves and international trade policy that is based on free-market mechanisms, not paying foreign companies to buy exports from large corporations with political connections. We, the undersigned organizations, urge you to oppose reauthorizing the Export-Import Bank.

You can read the entire letter HERE.

Today, COGC's Executive Director joined Americans for Prosperity and a host of other groups to continue to call for an end to the Export-Import Bank. Below are pictures of the event, hosted by AFP on Capitol Hill. Be sure you are following us on Twitter  to get the latest updates on our events.
