Cost of Government Center Executive Director Mattie Duppler appeared on Fox Business’s Varney & Co. last Friday to talk about the Cost of Government Day and the 197 days that taxpayers work to pay for the rapidly expanding burden of government. As President Obama dramatically increases the size of the welfare state, taxpayers are left to foot the bill for the culture of dependency President Obama’s policies are creating, potentially leading to even later Cost of Government Days even in the future.
