Video Alert: College Students Collecting Food Stamps

Last week's Video Alert covered the push by President Obama to grow food stamp users by offering $75,000 grants to non-profits whom increase food stamp applicants. Since taking office, President Obama has grown those depending on food stamps from 31.5 million to over 46 million Americans. Mattie Duppler, Executive Director for the Cost of Government Center, appeared on Fox Business Network’s Follow the Money Tuesday to discuss a surprising recipient of food stamps, college students. This stimulus-propelled initiative has limited eligibility requirements, making rampant fraud, abuse and waste likely outcomes.
